It is an unincorporated community in Marion County and is part of the Ocala area. Summerfield itself is very small with a good portion of it taken up by the Villages. It is within 15 minutes of some very relaxing fishing on the Oklawaha River, hunting or camping in the Ocala Forest, some local entertainment in Silver Springs Park or Uncle Donald’s Farm (lady lake) AND the Market of Marion Fleamarket.
